Have you ever wondered what kind of activities people most commonly engage in when they are online? Do they spend more time reading emails or posting updates on social networking sites? Online shopping or gaming- Which of these activities are more popular with internet users?

A new infographic from Flowtown and Column Five reveals that online behavior of adult Internet users and the kind of activities they like doing the most online.

Here are some  of the interesting points from the infographic

• Internet users engage in different activities online ranging from social networking to banking, shopping, reading, chatting, gaming research and more.
• When it comes to entertainment, watching videos is the most common activity that users engage in. Over 71 percent of adult internet users watch videos on video-sharing sites. Apart from video viewing,  65% of  internet users spend time on social networking sites and 36% of them play games for entertainment purposes.
• 92% of adult internet users use search engine to find info online. Most of them(83%) look for info related to health
• Online banking is gaining popularity. Over 61 percent of internet users carry out banking activities online
• While 78% of people  look for info and reviews on products and services online before they purchase, only 71 percent of them actually purchase products online.
• The top 5 things people do the most online are – —email, search for health related info, product info and weather info. The top five things that people do the least online are surprisingly-  Blogging, Tweeting, Online dating, selling and buying stocks.
